Clarity
Seldom are diamonds free from Nature's fingerprints (inclusions). Diamonds nearly free from inclusions exist very rarely in nature. When inclusions are visible to the naked eye (grades I 1 -I 3 ), the impact upon beauty becomes obvious, and value is severely reduced. To maximize both beauty and value, consider selecting diamonds in the VS to SI ranges.

Tallmon's also offers an exclusive line of clarity-enhanced diamonds. What's that? It's a genuine diamond that's had an inclusion filled with a microscopic amount of special material in order to raise the apparent clarity grade. The benefit? You can get a diamond 30% larger than a non-enhanced one for the same price! The process is stable and guaranteed for life.

Diamond Grading: Words of Caution
It's important to understand the diamond grading system described here, but use this knowledge with caution! Since the grading process is subjective, make sure the grading jeweler has the requisite education, proper equipment, and grades to proper standards. Tallmon's grades all diamonds to the standards of GIA, the world's foremost authority in gemology, so you are assured grading is accurate. When selecting a certified stone (graded independently), make sure it's certified by a reliable and reputable organization such as GIA or AGS.
